GTA: Chinatown Wars still on track for a winter DS release
But that could mean next year
During an end-of-quarter conference call at the end of last week, Take-Two Interactive confirmed Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be released this winter, DS Fanboy has reported.
Winter means a release date of sometime between November and January 31st 2009 going by the fiscal year.
When one member of the press however asked for confirmation the game would release before Christmas, Take-Two only said it could not confirm that.
The DS's first GTA game was announced at this year's E3 with a release date of November but there hasn't been any news since that it's still on track for then.
Now it seems likely we will see the crime-fest on our handhelds before Christmas. Especially since, at the the same earnings call, Take-Two spoke about plans for a festive advertising push for Xbox 360 and PS3 game GTA IV. Basically it sounds like the publisher is going to make this Christmas one filled with car-jacking and civilian slaying – the Daily Mail will have a stroke.
