Liberty City in GTA: Chinatown Wars will be almost the same size as it is in the home console game Grand Theft Auto IV. That's according to a preview of the game in Spanish magazine MarcaPlayer (and translated by Nintendo Everything).

The city will contain the areas of Dukes, Bohan, Broker and Algonquin, according to the magazine. The only part of the city missing is Alderney (or New Jersey in real life). There a (slightly small) picture of the map here should you want to have a look.

Other information to come out of this latest preview is that players will be able to whistle into the DS microphone to hail cabs, which is probably one of the better uses we've heard off for the mic.

It seems too as if the drug dealing part of the game is more than just a quick mini-game. In fact, you need to buy drugs in one neighbourhood then sell them in another that needs them in order to make decent cash. There's an in-game map which marks up where there's demand for certain drugs and how much you can expect to sell them for.

As you're travelling around Liberty City, locations such as petrol stations are added to your map, and you can set where you want to get to on the touchscreen then follow directions there from a GPS.

While the top screen is dedicated to the game action, the touchscreen displays the PDA, GPS, radio, access to people on the map and also lets you use grenades and Molotov cocktails.

As we reported last week, GTA: Chinatown Wars' release date has now slipped into next year and the game's expected to come out between February and April. The more we hear about it, the more it sounds like it'll be worth the wait.
