Fast rising indie developer Halfbrick Studios has supersized its time wasting food slasher Fruit Ninja, allowing you to slice and dice pineapples and strawberries in HD.

Working from the one million-selling iPhone game, Fruit Ninja HD chucks all manner of juicy, seed-filled treats on screen for you to lacerate with your trusty samurai sword. Or your finger - whichever’s easiest.

In fact, the game recognises up to eight of your pinkies, letting you pull off that long held Wolverine vs Fruit Basket fantasy.

Fruit Ninja HD features two single-player choices, the tricky Arcade and more relaxing Zen modes, and multiplayer duels played on one iPad, with the tablet split into two screens. It also comes packed with OpenFeint achievements and leaderboards, and unlockable content in the Dojo.

Fruit Ninja HD is available now for iPad for £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
