Zynga's freemium crop-grower FarmVille is the most popular game on Facebook. It racks up over 70 million active users per month, brings in tonnes of cash for Zynga, and plagues everyone's Facebook walls with useless messages.

Brace yourself, because the 'Ville' masters (they also court millions of players in FishVille, YoVille and PetVille) at Zynga have another money making scheme up their sleeves. Enter: FrontierVille.

TechCrunch noticed the game on a Developer Test Account, and nabbed the game's description before Zynga realised.

"Howdy Pardner! Let’s explore a new life on the frontier. You gotta chop trees to construct buildings, clear land to raise livestock, plant crops, and raise a family. The untamed wilderness is hazardous, but your fellow pioneers are there to help.”

While some of the description sounds eerily similar to FarmVille, the concepts of raising a family and the dangerous desert atmosphere should entice plenty of FarmVille fans to close up shop and move to the old west.

FrontierVille isn't officially announced, but based on everything TechCrunch has seen it's definitely in the works. We'll let you know when a more concrete release date is set.
