We know, we know – right now, you're all thinking, "Where in the name of God's chocolate-coated son was the Friday Freebie last week?", right? Well, if you must know we missed it for two reasons: the first involved inducing feelings of intense nausea through the heroic consumption of egg-shaped confectionary; and the second involved demos. Lots and lots of demos.

That's right, the Friday Freebie is no longer restricted to Fridays (though that is where the regular round-up piece will remain, fear not) as we have hewn from a great hunk of digital granite our very own finely chiseled Demo section, full of both mobile and PSP delights. Hopefully there will be the scope to involve the DS in some way down the line but that's really out of our hands.

Now if ever you want to check out the latest demos for mobile or PSP, or even if you just have a hankering to play a demo level of one of those games that passed you by a while back, our Demo section will ever be primed and ready to deliver the goods in just a couple of clicks.

Of course, for some of the newer PSP demos you will still have to have a PSP Store account (which is free) but the advantage is that you'll never need to leave the heavenly climbs of Pocket Gamer to find out about any new additions. Okay, shameless plug over, and don't you dare ever say we don't do anything for you.

As for the DS, we haven't obviously abandoned it. How does a web based demo of Japanese RPG Twin Age sound? Before you ask, yes it features scantily clad barely pubescent characters with stupid haircuts and, yes, it is in Japanese. But it's not a completely predictable DS freebie offering – due to the game's forthcoming European release an English site is also now available. It doesn't have the nice flash demo but does sport some free downloadable wallpapers which is better than an RPG-like oversized sword slash to the head.

And if that lot isn't enough to keep your thumbs and fingers twiddling like an overzealous majorette then there is also our other in-house freebie resource: the Mobile Rated forum section. This week's recommendation is for 360 Speed, a racer with a thrillingly perverse habit for high-speed crashes. A link to the download page can be found, as ever, in our forum, which is also the place for you to let us know what you think of the Mobile Rated games you have tried.

And that brings us to the end of this week's Friday Freebie. Was it worth the wait? Actually don't answer that, just click 'Track It!' to be sure to catch next week's serving. In the meantime, enjoy!
