Finding a crumpled £20 note in a jacket you haven't worn in an age is a joy seldom matched. The Friday Freebie is a bit like that but with the added bonus that it is a good deal more dependable, showing up once every seven days to line your handheld pockets with digital riches.

For the PSP this week we have something old, something not quite new and something dark and sinister (ooh err). Covered a while back on the Friday Freebie was the PSP Vault, a giant repository of PSP game saves that you can merrily download anytime you like. Since then, the community that keeps the site alive has been playing its thumbs off just so that you lot can experience some instant gratification with some of more recent such as Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare 2, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Transformers and plenty others. Three cheers for instant gratification.

For trendies, the popular movies, music, games and culture magazine, LOAD, (also covered before) is up to its 9th issue with the 10th coming very shortly. Nearly all of the issues are available in PSP friendly format, none of which will cost you a penny to download. Well worth the stick space if you ask us.

And lastly for PSP, something sinister to match its ominous dark exterior; some homebrew. We don't usually include homebrew apps for the PSP in the Friday Freebie given how much legal free stuff there is to be had but Billy and Louie Iturzaeta's PSP Rhythm is a very nifty looking audio program indeed. Once installed you can use it to make all manner of beats and loops which can be exported as wav files to a PC, perfect for the laptop musician who wants to get some 'cuts' in on the bus to their day job.

For the DS this week we have not one but two demos and not a slither of homebrew in sight. The first is a flash triple whammy of mini-games from the recently released Bomberman Land Touch 2. Look out for our forthcoming review of the full game.

And last of all, a quick reminder to check out the flash demo of Exit that we came across earlier in the week. The game was great on the PSP so there is no reason that it shouldn't be fun on the DS too.

That's it for now, remember to give the Freebie Archive a glance if you haven't already and to make sure you don't miss next week's batch, just click 'Track It!'.
