As we have been keen to illustrate before on the Friday Freebie, the PSP is positively blessed with free stuff. A single Google search with the words 'PSP' and 'free' will yield an intimidating glut of riches, but there is usually one small snag – Mac users are not quite as well catered for as PC users, especially when it comes to support for PSP video conversion.

Ever determined to seek out that which is hard to find, we have tracked down four different solutions for shifting media around from your Mac to your PSP. Cheaply, of course. Preferably free.

For those looking for a demo application to try before forking out for a full version, you could do a lot worse than give Visual Hub, iPSP or PSPWare a go. The demos for each are fairly limited but should be enough to give you a feel for which you prefer before spending the paltry sum of $9.99 (about ₤5) on the full version.

For those of you who wouldn't part with cash unless it was prized from your cold dead fists – our kind of people – the inelegantly named ffmpegx makes up for its awkward name by being completely free. Its installation is a bit fiddly and there may be extra programs you need to add in order to make it work. Thorough instructions are provided, however, as well as links to any extra applications you'll need, and the time invested in getting the program up-and-running will no doubt feel well worth it when you are enjoying the latest episode of Lost on the commute to work.

Onto mobile, and earlier this week we came across a new free mobile games portal called Viwawa, which although clearly brimming with potential seemed to lack any actual mobile game downloads. Things move quickly in the world of mobile gaming though, as a WAP portal (viewable on Macs and PCs) has just opened containing a mobile version of the fun stickman beat-em-up, Stwack.

There is a best of Stwack championship being held in July, so you have just enough time to get in enough practice to be in with a shout of competing next month.

We couldn't really claim to be much of a resource for freebies if we only ever pointed you in the direction of free stuff from other sites and never offered anything ourselves. Lastly then, is a reminder of a freebie crafted by our very own hand, the Pocket Gamer guide to mobile games e-zine.

This 19-page digital mag is in PDF form, so is easy to print out and read when you aren't glued to your monitor or handheld screen. Featuring mobile reviews and articles written by the Pocket Gamer team and a competition to win an extremely fancy HD television, our e-zine is our gift to you, dear readers.

That's it for this week freebie fanatics. Click 'Track It!' for more free stuff next week, and if you are new to the Friday Freebie, why not check out the gift that keeps on giving, our freebie archive.
