What is better than a free PSP demo? Two free PSP demos, which is what we will be beginning with in this week's trip to freebieville.

We normally don't like to visit the same sources too often; once plucked, those freebie fruits need time to re-grow, but in this case we are going to make an exception. The Unofficial PSP Demo Centre has finally snared the SOCOM Fire Team Bravo 2 demo we mentioned on the Friday Freebie a while back. The site also has the new MGS Portable Ops demo available, which had us all downing tools in the Pocket Gamer office for some impromptu battles mid-week.

As always, trying to get free stuff out of the DS is like trying to get blood from a stone, which is why once again we are casting our scruples to one side. Lurking in some of the more dank alcoves of the internet we found a nice collection of the must-have homebrew applications for the DS. They include a DS version of Linux, a VoIP program called HelloDS, a music making application called NitroTracker and various games. All of them are free so long as you can live with yourself after you have besmirched your DS's honour with illegal software.

Lastly, something we've not had in a while: an online mobile game demo. One of many new Glu titles in the works, Poker Pop is a fun casual poker themed puzzler that deserves at least five minutes of your attention. Let's just hope that Glu posts a demo of the mobile Transformers game soon.

As soon as it does, you will be able to read about it here on the Friday Freebie; click 'Track It!' to make sure you don't miss it.
