Take a bunch of cool handheld stuff, remove the need to pay for it, add a short description about what it is and where it can be found and what do you get? The Friday Freebie of course, so sit back and absorb this week's clutch of reasons to spend just a little more on yourself this weekend.

First up is a quick visit to GameJump for some free mobile games. Featured this week are two more recognisable titles; Dance Dance Revolution and the classic Frogger. As always both are full games and both come at the inexpensive price of the time it will take you to look at a few in game adverts.

Also worth checking out this week is the UK-only mobile demo site from RealArcade. This fantastic resource has free mobile demos of all sorts of big name titles including Luxor, Trivial Pursuit: Music Edition and Stones of Khufu, many of which scored well in Pocket Gamer reviews.

It's not often we get to mention the iPod on the Friday Freebie, but this week our select American readers are in for a treat as there is a free demo of Mrs Pac-man (what a contradiction that name is) available on iTunes now. Good news for our friends across the pond; hopefully EA will offer free demos of some of the new iPod games it is planning when they are released later this year.

And lastly this week, a visit to an old Friday Freebie stomping ground, the PSP Vault. This is strictly for those of you who lack patience or are just not into the whole pleasure delaying thing. If you absolutely must see what the final boss looks like seconds after inserting a UMD for the first time, then there are game saves aplenty to be had, and all for the measly amount of time it takes you to complete a free registration with the site.

Okay, that's it this week folks. Remember, although it might seem that our knowledge of handheld gaming treats sans money is near inexhaustible, we're always glad of any tips from eagle-eyed readers who have spotted some great free downloads on their travels. So if you know of a (legal) handheld freebie oasis, be sure to drop us a line so that we can share it here on the Friday Freebie.

Click 'Track It!' for another dose next week.
