Friday Freebie: An English PSP demo, some free PSP game add ons...

The Friday Freebie has had a bad couple of weeks. Not so much the embarrassingly drunk uncle of the party, but the wretched, fleabitten, half-starved three-legged donkey of the party, which, let’s face it, nobody wants to chat to.

After some much needed rest, a good feed and some insect repellent (not to mention a bionic leg transplant), the Friday Freebie is once again a proud stallion, raring to go and foaming at the mouth.

PSP owners have the biggest reason to celebrate. There’s a free English demo of the Japanese number puzzle Numblast available on the PSP Store.

There’s also a new free Dissidia: Final Fantasy theme and, for fans of Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, Download Pack 3 is out now, featuring some new missions, plus all of the previously released downloadable extras in a single convenient package.

DSi users finally have a reason to feel smug next to their DS Lite toting peers, as the camera can now be put to good use for Facebook. We reported on this earlier in the week, but since then the firmware update that makes all of this possible has been released in Europe, too.

All we need now is Twitter and Spotify dedicated applications, and the DSi will be knocking down the iPhone’s door in no time (possibly).

Speaking of which, we are going to forgo the usual iPhone freebie routes this week (which are of course, The Trawler Report, The Freebie Focus and The iPhone gaming podcast) in favour of something a little different.

Reviewed on the site this week, the fantastic MEVO & The Grooveriders is offering up an iPhone freebie this week, in the form of free ringtones and mp3s. The game’s publisher Red Rocket Games, is peddling eight ringtones and six full downloadable tracks in the Free Stuff section of its website.

Finally, a bit of mass to justify the Friday Freebie’s name and reputation. Let’s hope this is a trend that’s set to continue throughout the coming weeks.
