Friday Freebie: My Healthy Cooking Coach demo arrives on DS...
...as well as some PSP demos you can't play and all the iPhone usuals
Reference books are fast becoming a thing of the past. Who needs hulking great encyclopedias, atluses or the latest celebrity cookbook when the information you need is never more than a few clicks away?
The DS is part of this digital march towards a paperless future, and this week the Nintendo Wii features a DS demo of My Healthy Cooking Coach on the Nintendo Channel. Stick that in your carbon footprint.
As with all DS demos on the Nintendo Channel, so long as you have your Wii connected to the internet you can download the demo to your DS wirelessly for a quick go without paying a cent, penny, peso or crown.
The PSP on the other hand is not the freebie slop bucket it usually is this week, offering up absolutely nothing of interest to the majority of our readers.
If you live in the US, there's a Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! demo to be had on the PSP Store. Similarly, if you're a resident of Japan, you can fill your boots with demos of Narisokonai Eiyuutan: Taiyou to Tsuki no Monogatari and Everybody's Sukkiri on the Japanese PSP Store. For the rest of us here in Europe, the wait continues.
The iPhone is typically replete with freebie gaming entertainment. The main resources, which by now should be etched indelibly on your cranium, are The Trawler Report, the iPhone gaming podcast and the Lites section of the iPhone forums.
