So you came here expecting freebies? Handheld freebies? Well you can forget it. We went looking this morning and the only handheld freebie we got was a complimentary slap in the face.

Obviously, we're embellishing quite a bit there. Nobody struck us with malice. But we did come up short, again. It's the digital equivalent of a slap in the face, surely?

Anyway, with our cheek still burning, we are going to embarrassingly forge ahead and present to you this week's spoils, which in all honesty, are worth less than 1/16th of a 23rd class postage stamp.

First off we head to the PSP, which is still stubbornly rejecting any advances from would-be PSP Store suitors - it's destined to die a cat-hoarding spinster at this rate.

The best we could find were two wallpapers (you've probably got enough of those to decorate your house with now) for Persona - a PC and PSP one.

There's also something slightly more robust to be found on the Class of Heroes website, which houses a whole load of digital comics from the game's backstory that you can read online. Would have been nice if Atlus had gone to the trouble of making them PSP compatible downloads, but there you go.

To segue from the comic vein, on DS, we have a foreign language freebie and before you go reaching for your Japanese phrase book, you should know that this freebie is in French Manga form. A blend of Japanese and Gallic influences, we call it Gallapanese.

The manga in question, Pink Diary, has spawned an impressive French fan site that holds all sorts of cool fan art and avatars relating to the cult comic. Why is this relevant? Because a game based on the Pink Diaries series is on its way to the DS, if you're interested.

As for the iPhone, this week there are all manner of Lite games to be discovered, both in the Lite section of our forums and in our weekly free iPhone games feature, The Trawler Report. There's also our new feature, the Freebie Focus in which we take an in-depth look at a free title from the App Store.

There is of course our weekly audio iPhone gaming podcast, to which by listening you stand the chance to win a £5 iTunes gift voucher every week.

And letÕs not forget the Freebie Archive, which is stuffed full of freebies for every format under the pocket gaming sun, stretching back over two years. There's bound to be something you've missed in there.

That's it for now. Times are tough, sure, but they can only get better. Click 'Track It!' to catch next week's load.
