People will put up with almost anything, so long as the end result doesn’t require handing over any cash.

This free hotel room is infested with bears you say? Not a problem, I’ll just sleep on the balcony. These free Cinema tickets are for Night at the Museum 2 are they? That’s ok - I’ll just imagine each of Ben Stiller’s stunts caused him real pain.

This PSP game demo is in Japanese is it? No worries, I’ll just admire the characters’ gravity defying haircuts.

Today, however, for the first time in a very long while, we have a downloadable Japanese PSP demo for you that you will actually be able to play.

Sure, getting past the menus might take a bit of trial and error, but when they are dealt with, you will be rewarded with a few bouts of the international language of side-scrolling beat-'em-up action in Bleach: Soul Carnival 2. You can download the demo for free from The PSP Demo Center

Manga plots make about as much sense as a wireless router instruction manual at the best of times anyway, so you won’t be missing much (heresy!) between uppercuts.

On DS, pickings are considerably slimmer, so let’s get it over with. If you are excited about Square Enix’s forthcoming RPG Blood of Bahamut, then this wallpaper will probably perk up your day by an almost imperceptible amount. Still, it’s better than nothing.

As for iPhone, not only do we have The Trawler Report, which details all the latest and greatest Lite and free iPhone games out there, but we have the new iPhone Updates Update feature too.

This feature highlights the best and most substantial iPhone game updates of the last week. So if it’s extra levels, modes and options for games you already own that you’re looking for, then you ought to check it out.

There’s also our refreshed iPhone gaming podcast, which is now in a glorious hands and eyes free audio flavour, so you can catch it while jogging, driving or operating heavy machinery. It's free and available from iTunes here.

And don’t forget, the Freebie Archive is always worth a poke, especially for newcomers to the Friday Freebie. That’s it for now, click ‘Track It!’ to be sure not to miss next week’s costless catch of the day.
