Friday Freebie: A PSP Store demo, some DSiWare freebies...

iPhone + DS + DSi ...
| Friday Freebie

Today is the most stupendous, fantabulous, splendiferous day of your lives. Why? Because the PSP Store has finally been updated with another free demo, that’s why!

I know what your thinking, ‘this had better have been worth the wait’. Yep, we’ve been thinking the very same, but don’t worry, this new demo signals a change in the PSP Store, everything will be different now - that iPhone had better start quaking its screen off.

Moving on…

What’s that? You want to know what the demo is? Well of course you do, how silly of us. It’s, it’s… It’s… It’s *murmurs* Imagine Champion Rider.

Okay, it’s a fair cop, it’s the PSP Store’s worst demo ever and arriving on the back of a drought that makes the Gobi desert look like the lost city of Atlantis, it’s especially disappointing.

Still, if you are suddenly overcome with the sort of blinding insanity that makes you want to talk to pigeons and eat urinal cakes, Imagine Champion Rider’s horse riding thrills might prove to be reasonably entertaining. Or indeed, if you are an eight year old girl, it might be quite fun too.

What am I saying? We haven’t even reviewed it, it might be really good. It’s just, come on Sony, we want to shoot stuff and drive cars really fast, not put ribbons on a horse's arse. Sort it out!

Moving on (for real this time), if any of you bought a DSi recently, you will be delighted to know - if you didn’t know already - that your purchase comes with 1000 free DSi Points to spend on whatever you choose in the DSi Shop.

For that, you could have any combination of Paper Plane, and Pyoro (both 200 points each) or Dr. Mario Express, WarioWare Snapped (both 500 points each) or even Brain Age Express: Math (800 points).

Of course it does require you to fork out 150 quid on a DSi, but if you were going to do that anyway, then this definitely qualifies as a freebie.

And we haven't forgotten mobile gamers either. Try out the new GamesPlaza mobile website. It feature free games that use the Flash Lite technology, so you will have to have that installed. It's free too though.

Last of all, a quick reminder to keep up to date with our weekly free iPhone games feature, The Trawler Report and our Freebie Archive. That’s it freebie hunters, until next week’s edition that is, which you can be alerted to as soon as it’s live, simply by clicking ‘Track It!’ below.

Have a good weekend!
