Sometimes life throws up a hole that only something ninja-shaped can fill. Luckily, the world of gaming is pretty crowded with those black-clad super beings and this week, we’ve got not one, not two, but three ninja-themed freebies in our coffers.

The first isn’t exactly recent, but who cares when it’s free. If you've ever heard of the game N+ you’ll no doubt be aware of the formula N+ + thumbs = gaming Nirvana. Actually you might not of heard of that formula, seeing as we just made it up, but it’s true and the game has quite rightly been a monster success on both the DS and PSP.

If you haven’t played either of those stellar portable versions (which you might not have if you live in Europe), then you ought to get yourself acquainted with the PC/Mac/Linux game that started it all. The N+ website, N: The Way Of the Ninja offers the full original game for free download.

But that’s not all of the N+ goodies we have on offer today. Anyone who has played the game will know the formula N+, + headphones = happy ears. OK enough with the formulae. N+ has an awesome soundtrack and you can download the following three tracks from the DS version for free, by right clicking on each and selecting ‘Save link as’.

Moving on, The PSP has two new free demos, but as ever, there's a catch. The first, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce (which is about ninjas who like to play fancy dress) is only available to American and Japanese PSN account holders. Still if you live in either of those regions, get on the PSP Store and do it. Do it.

The second is a Japanese game that anyone can download from the PSP Demo Centre called Yuusha 30 #2. It might very well be about ninjas, but there's an equally good chance it could be about ice-skating mongooses, naked lion taming or super powered teenage girls with enormous breasts and a constant look of bewilderment on their faces. It’s like a lucky dip. Be sure to report back on exactly what this is if you do have a go.

Besides that lot, there’s also The Trawler Report, which is rammed with all the latest and greatest free iPhone games and of course our weekly free iPhone gaming podcast and Freebie Archive are always on hand to offer costless gaming cheer.

That’s it for now, click ‘Track It!’ to be sure not to miss next week’s batch.
