Friday Freebie: A LocoRoco 2 demo for everybody...

Like those poor birds we see pecking fruitlessly at the bare earth outside our office window, the internet is a desolate place for free nourishment at this time of year.

We should all take a leaf out of the squirrel's book. Not just because he tends to be a snappy dresser and is the only animal known to possess genuine superpowers, but because he hordes away all he needs to survive the long hard winter.

But enough about woodland animals and on with this week’s pickings. The first thing we have is a LocoRoco 2 demo. Now we know what you're all thinking, and yes, we know the LocoRoco 2 demo has been available on the PSP Store for the best part of two months now.

This demo however is special in that you don’t even need a PSP to play it - all you need is an internet browser.

Just head here and use the Right and Left arrow keys of your keyboard to control it in exactly the same way you would use the L and R buttons on the PSP.

It’s a great little distraction, and if for some reason you don’t have access to the PSP Store (or if you're a DS die hard and are curious about how the other half live) then this little flash morsel should cater to your needs perfectly.

As for the DS, while Nintendo saw fit to add a Big Bang Mini demo to the American version of the Nintendo Channel, us Europeans are still waiting. Maybe next week.

Last of all, we have three more Lite versions of iPhone games for you to try out in our Demos section. If you haven’t yet tried either Toy Bot Diaries, 1112 Episode 1 or iShoot, you have just officially run out of excuses.

That’s all for now. Remember to check the Freebie Archive for anything you may have missed over the last two years and do click ‘Track It!’ to be alerted as soon as the next Friday Freebie is published.

Bon freebie!
