We at Pocket Gamer Towers are a humanitarian bunch, and so we take great pleasure in promoting good causes from around Planet iPhone.

Child’s Play is one such good cause.

Founded by two of Penny Arcade’s authors in 2003 to counter negative press of video gamers in the media, the organisation arranges worldwide toy drives to children’s hospitals, including Alder Hey in Liverpool.

Canadian-based developer Snow Day Games has decided to help this brilliant cause.

50 per cent of all profits generated from its upcoming iPhone and iPod touch release, Fly vs Car, will be donated to Child’s Play.

Best described as Frogger meets Jeff Goldblum, Fly vs Car invites players to avoid oncoming traffic for as long as insectly possible by moving their small winged fellow from side to side.

With OpenFeint, Facebook, and Twitter integration, high scores can then be shared and comprehensively beaten.

Fly vs Car should be available on the App Store from July 15th. Grab it then and help others less fortunate than you in the process.
