Space-based sequel Flight Control Rocket docking with the App Store later this month

Developer Firemint has gone from airspace to outer space with interstellar puzzle sequel Flight Control Rocket, which will be landing on the App Store later this month.

Following on from the hugely successful plane management game Flight Control, this zero-G addition to the franchise has swapped landing strips for docking bays.

However, while the environment may have changed, the objectives remain the same: guide different coloured craft to their designated landing platform, while avoiding any nasty mid-air collisions.

This is accomplished by tracing flight paths onto your device's touchscreen with your finger.

Back to the future

The developers have opted for a rather fetching Jetsons-inspired look, and have thrown in some score-boosting retro robots characters for players to unlock.

iPhone and iPad owners can expect to get their hands on Flight Control Rocket sometime this month.

There's no word on the Android version yet, but we hope fans won't have to wait another two years for a port this time around.
