Momentum keeps building for iPhone gaming as independent developer Freeverse, best known for its downloadable console titles, has announced two titles for the device.

Flick Sports and Flick Sports: Moto Racing are currently in development, slated for release sometime before the end of 2008.

Flick Sports promises touch-controlled versions of golf, bowling, football, and baseball. Additional sports could potentially be included in the compilation, which Freeverse claims to be "fun, colorful, and quick."

Flick Sports: Moto Racing, meanwhile, veers into a different direction, letting you race via the iPhone's accelerometer. Twisting and turning the device enables you to steer your vehicle. No official word on network racing, but we're hoping Freeverse has some form of multiplayer in the works.

Both titles are the first of several planned by the company. "Some ideas we're keeping under wraps for a while, but a few we really just couldn't wait to share," said a spokesperson.
