As is the way of the App Store at the moment, despite the paid version of the game only going live a few days ago Freeverse has now released a free version of its Flick Bowling 2 game.

It's no lite version, however.

You get the complete game including Story, Freeplay, Versus, and Fast Lane modes. In fact, the only thing that's missing from the paid version are the Bluetooth and hotseat multiplayer options.

The rub is that you have to deal with strip and interstitial adverts from GreyStripe, as well as the requirement to log into the Plus+ social gaming network.

As for the game itself, I thought it was a pretty reasonable arcade bowling game.

"It's not the most realistic sim ever, but with a neat Story mode and solid gameplay, Flick Bowling 2 will fulfill most of your iPhone bowling needs," I mused.

Flick Bowling 2 is out now, priced $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79, or get the Free version.
