The Russians know a thing or two when it comes to making puzzle games. After all, Tetris is still topping the charts over 20 years since it was first released.

So when a Russian studio announces an intriguing new concept, we figure it's worth listening. And indeed, while Flexis may look similar to other falling block-based puzzlers – the basic mechanics of connecting three coloured blocks together to make them disappear is certainly nothing to write home about – this game bends the rules.

You see, when those coloured blocks hit the deck, they don't just sit there. No, these blocks bounce around, enabling you to take advantage of physics to create otherwise impossible connections.

Whether the resulting gameplay will start a whole new craze or is just another brick in the puzzle wall will become clear when we get to grips with the game.
