Blocks off for Flexis Extreme

Blocks off for Flexis Extreme

We weren't too keen on the original Flexis, despite its winning concept of making Tetris a bit more... bouncy. Its wiggling blocks were certainly winsome, but its stern difficulty curve and lack of progression spoiled the fun.

Hopefully these problems will be remedied in the sequel, Flexis Extreme, which has just been announced by Telcogames.

The idea is still the same – match coloured blocks to make them disappear – but the publisher says the new version will be bigger, better and faster than its predecessor.

There'll be 50 colourful levels to play, and five separate game modes: Classic, Elimination, Challenge, Marathon and Panic. The visuals and sound effects have been beefed up, and there'll also be an online high-score table to see how your block-busting skills compare to other players.

Flexis Extreme is due out later this month, so click 'Track It!' to get an alert when we review it.
