Remember, remember, the fifth of November: gunpowder, treason and hordes of surly teenagers letting off rockets in local car parks.

Yes, Guy Fawkes would weep if he saw a modern-day bonfire night, and he'd also be quite miffed that there's not a Catholic on the throne.

Anyway, Runestone Games have announced Fireworks, which they describe as a "light-entertainment application". That doesn't mean Des O'Connor's in it. What it does describe is a mobile fireworks display, which you can sit back and watch or take an active role in by hitting certain numbers on your handset's keypad.

The displays take place in five locations – including the Houses Of Parliament, which Fawkes would surely approve of.

Fireworks should really come out in late October, but it sounds like you might be able to get your hands on it earlier.
