Apple announced back at its "Let's Talk iPhone" event that it would be approving and uploading two of its own brand-new apps - Cards and Find My Friends - on October 12th. That's today, by the way.

Find My Friends is the first of the pair to go live on the App Store, and allows you to quickly and easily locate your friends, kids, family, colleagues, or ex-girlfriend using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Naturally, security can be an issue with apps of this nature, so Apple has built in parental controls, privacy restrictions, and the ability to share your location for a limited time only.

Find My Friends is available on the App Store right now, but appears to be partially hidden for the time being. You can, however, grab it completely free of charge by clicking the download button below.
