Fast and Furious: Pink Slip races onto iPhone first

Update: Read our preview of The Fast and the Furious: Pink Slip on iPhone. The Fast and the Furious films were quite good (assuming you've had a double lobotomy and irony bypass surgery), but thankfully some of the games have been considerably better. Still, it's also one of the mobile platform's most popular racing series and the latest addition, The Fast and the Furious: Pink Slip, has just launched on the iPhone.

Featuring a whopping 32 different cars for you to win across the 32 races, you've also got four game modes to keep things interesting. These include drift racing (much like the Toyky Drift game), police chases and drag racing.

For those unfamiliar with it, this latter mode requires you to take control of the gears and turbo boost rather than steering. Punching the gearbox and nitro at just the right moments to maximise acceleration and control turns Pink Slip into more of a rhythm game than a racer, and it'll be interesting to see how this concept pans out on iPhone.

With local wi-fi multiplayer and some damn impressive visuals, we're hoping The Fast and the Furious: Pink Slip turns out to be a pretty exciting addition to the ever increasing racing genre on the iPhone.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
