Good news, iPad- and iPhone-toting Facebook fans.

Your favourite social network has updated its iPhone app to include support for Apple's iPad, and has finally launched its own HTML5 app platform.

The latter, of course, allows you to play a range of Facebook games on your iPhone and iPad.

Yes, games such as Magic Land: Island and World War can now be played directly from within Facebook's Universal iOS app, providing your game of choice doesn't already have an App Store counterpart.

Native or web?

If it does, you'll be quickly whisked off to Apple's digital store and asked to download it from there.

Furthermore, if you have a favourite Facebook game, you can pin it to your device's Home screen and jump straight into the action with a simple tap.

All compatible games will use Facebook Credits as their virtual currency.
