Plants vs Zombies Adventures shuffling out of beta and onto Facebook on May 20th

Plants vs Zombies Adventure, the Facebook game based on the smash hit tower defence title, is set to shuffle its way out of beta and into the wild on May 20th.

We first heard about this casual-focused title at the end of March when PopCap announced that this "highly accessible" take on the age-old battle between flora and flesh-munching fauna was in the pipeline.

Through a series of recent pictures on the Plants vs Zombies Adventure Facebook page, though, PopCap is counting down the days until the game is available. Oh, and teasing different gameplay elements.

So, there'll be new zombies attacking your patch, new plants with which to fight them off, and different ways of cultivating your defences in Plants vs Zombies Adventures. And there'll be leaderboards... lots of leaderboards.

According to PopCap, Plants vs Zombies Adventures will "take players beyond the confines of the backyard", presumably in the people carrier that's the only ever-present element in this new series of Facebook teaser images.

Facebook users with a penchant for gardening and undead slaughter don't have long to wait until they can get their green fingers on PopCap's new Plants vs Zombies experience. Seven days, in fact.
