Disruptor Beam has announced that it will be bringing an officially licensed Game of Thrones game (game) to Facebook this year, making it the third video game spin-off of the fantasy series by my count.

Thankfully, Game of Thrones: Ascent doesn't have you playing as the moaning and moping Ned Stark, but rather as "a noble during the time of upheaval as portrayed in the books".

This noble can be from any one of the great houses in the books, who must then "secure their holdings, develop their lands and personal reputation, and [assign] sworn swords to quests".

More details on the game are expected to be revealed soon, so keep an eye out for a raven carrying word from Westeros (or Boston, MA) over the next few months.
