Gaikai has brought its streaming game service to Facebook in
the form of a beta app, with demos of
Saints Row 3,
The Witcher 2, and
Dead Rising 2 all available to play from day one.
As with competing service OnLive, Gaikai doesn't rely on the power of the host computer to run the various games.
Instead, it streams the data from a remote server, meaning it only requires a fast internet connection to function, rather than a £500 graphics card.
Some of the demos in the beta are currently unavailable in the UK -
Dead Rising 2, for instance, didn't work for us - but you should be able to try out titles like
Sniper Elite without too much hassle.
