According to the domain-watching site Fusible, the URL familyville.com has changed hands in a similar nature to that of Zynga's CityVille.

In March, the domain was owned by IPCybercrime – a broker for high profile acquisitions - which had previously acquired cityville.com on behalf of the social giant back in June 2010.

Near the end of April, however, the domain switched hands again, this time going to GoDaddy's Domains by Proxy, a privacy service used by Zynga for rewardville.com.

Finally, if that wasn't proof enough, another change this week saw the domain switch from its previous name server to COTDNS.NET - the home to many of Zynga's established titles.

EA has already announced plans to bring The Sims Social to Zuckerberg's Facebook, so if Zynga really is planning a life-simulator of its own, it might have some competition.
