Angry Birds Heikki has launched on browsers today (you can play it here if you sign up).

As predicted, it’s Angry Birds but with a racing theme. So instead of flinging the birds at wooden towers or smashing up pigs underwater, you’ll be firing them across a race track and, well, hitting wooden towers.

The leaderboards from the Facebook version make an appearence here, but the divisive power-ups have been replaced by a special ‘Heikki Power’, which requires you to hunt it down on F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen’s Facebook page.

The most interesting aspect of the game is that a new level will be revealed every race weekend. Disappointingly, the game has launched with just the one level, rather than backdate them to coincide with the F1 season.

No word on if Angry Birds Heikki will get a smartphone version, but if you’re interested in giving it a go, follow this magical hyperlink, my friend.
