Zombie Gunship goes free as FreeAppADay releases its new FAADChat app

Everyone loves something for free, so it's not a great surprise that the FreeAppADay promotion scheme has been a massive success.

Indeed, with more than six million users connecting to its daily selection of free games and apps via web, Facebook, Twitter, and its app, it's become a great channel for developers to boost their titles up the charts, gaining users and coverage.

Still, with everything in the app world being about becoming more social, FreeAppADay is pushing its own community with the release of the FAADChat app.

It's a free standalone iOS download that will inform you about all the games going free, with screenshots and video. More importantly, though, it'll provide a place where you can chat about your favourite games, as well as personalise the experience with avatars, chat bubbles, and various virtual goods.

And in order to promote the app, there are loads of high-profile games going free during December. The first is Limbic Software's excellent Zombie Gunship, a Pocket Gamer Silver Award winner.

It should be set to free later this afternoon.
