Japanese developer Cave has announced that its latest ‘Bullet hell’ title, Espgaluda II, will be coming to the iPhone this Spring.

Based on the Japanese arcade title, Espgaluda II is a top-down, vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up with a penchant for killing the player with a seemingly impossible number of bullets on screen.

With the emphasis on learning enemy patterns and harsh punishment for mistakes, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. It should be music to the ears of hardcore shooter fans, though.

There are rumours that extra modes will be available for this conversion, although exact details are extremely vague at the moment. We do, however, suspect that the arcade’s original ‘slow-mo’ styled shooting system and levels will make the transition to the smaller screen.

We’ll have more news when we get it, but in the meantime hit the 'Track It!' button below to keep informed of further developments.
