New iPhone MMO Empire of the Eclipse accidentally wiped by developer

All early adopters to receive free month-long subscription

New iPhone MMO Empire of the Eclipse accidentally wiped by developer

It's been a bit of a bumpy ride for new iPhone MMO Empire of the Eclipse since it hit Apple's App Store late last week. Actually, that may be an understatement.

The game's developer, Zarksoft, essentially rebooted its title's entire in-game universe by accident, meaning all early adopters were left with wiped progress and crushed hopes and dreams. Probably.

Anyway, to make up for this mishap, the company will give all early adopters a free month-long subscription to the title. This month will be awarded as soon as Zarksoft "stabilises" the game's back-end issues, but you can expect to receive it before June 24th.

A month's subscription to the MMO normally costs £1.49 / $1.99. You can grab Empire of the Eclipse from the App Store for free.
