Atari brings RPG Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter to Facebook

Atari's new Facebook role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter has entered a "open beta" stage, meaning you can head on over to the social network and play it right now.

When you get there, you'll have the option to create your very own character from scratch, and set out to explore over 50 dungeons.

Along the way you'll encounter, battle, and hopefully defeat over 40 unique monsters with 30 different skills, and unearth a selection of magical items.

Finally, you can create your very own adventures and task some of your best Facebook buddies with exploring and completing them.

Picking a party

According to Atari CEO Jim Wilson, the new RPG "delivers a high level of depth, polish and authenticity that will fundamentally change the way players think of RPG gaming on social platforms”. But he would say that.

You can decide that for yourself by heading over to Facebook and giving Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter a whirl. Don't forget to check out the screenshots in our gallery above.
