Duke Nukem Forever headed to iOS?

Forum user spies App Store mention in Steam license agreement

Duke Nukem Forever headed to iOS?

It’s been 14 years since 3D Realms first started developing Duke Nukem Forever, and the game continues to defy expectations.

The latest info on the much-delayed shooter suggests new custodian Gearbox Software may well be planning an iOS version of the game.

At least, that’s one conclusion that may be drawn from the news that additional license terms for the App Store can be found on the manual link of the game’s Steam page.

The fine print was spotted by Touch Arcade forumite Starjimstar, who also noticed that the license, “is a non-transferable license to use the Software only on an iPhone or iPod touch that you own or control.”

Curiouser and curiouser. Is it time for the Duke to kick iOS and chew bubblegum? It’s difficult to think of any other reason for such an inclusion, though Gearbox hasn’t officially announced anything just yet. Stay tuned for further developments.
