iPhone Duke Nukem 3D imminent on App Store
Enhanced PC classic on its way to iPhone
One of the most fondly remembered games of the 1990s, Duke Nukem 3D, is set to take a bow on the App Store.
The big, brash and politically incorrect first person shooter is receiving the full conversion treatment, with enhancements to both graphics and controls.
The team behind the project is MachineWorks Northwest, which has experience in the iPhone FPS field having produced Prey Invasion and 3D Hunting. Prey Invasion in particular benefited from some excellent controls, which would have been the main source of concern for Nukem fans.
According to IGN, MachineWorks has “not monkeyed with the gameplay at all,” but has “subtly upgraded the visuals”. With a release date of “very soon,” we shouldn’t have too long to wait to get our mitts on it.
