In something of a coup for mobile gamers, Glu Mobile announced it’s making a mobile exclusive follow up to Atari's hit console game Driv3r. Last time round mobile gamers got a taste of the action long after the console game had been on the streets, but this time we’re first in line, with this specially made title linking between Driv3r and the forthcoming forth console instalment. There'll even be unlockable cheat codes for the console release.

The game itself will retain the same fundamental structure of the previous outings, with players assuming the role of undercover agent Tanner, performing the role of wheelman in various illegal activities for undesirable types so that he can unmask Mr. Big. As the title suggests however Driver: Vegas will take place in an entirely new environment, namely the neon lights, casinos and treacherous curvy canyon roads of the US’ gambling heartland. There are six vehicles to tear up the strip in all based on real-life cars and blessed with neat effects such as headlights and tire smoke and the handling promises to be more realistic than the last outing, with the ability to pull off 180 spins as you engage in duels and chases. What's more, you'll also be able to park the car and head out on foot in certain levels to indulge in a spot of gunplay on the casino floor.

With Driv3r winning awards and selling buy the bucket-seat load (over 1 million copies!), Glu understandably have high hopes for the upcoming game and we hope our upcoming preview will discover nothing to puncture that optimism!
