Cutting cost, not corners

RedLynx and Chillingo release DrawRace 2 Free Multiplayer for iOS

If you’ve always wanted to trace the winding curves and smooth straights of DrawRace 2 but can't bring yourself to shell out the necessary 69p / 99c (or £1.99 / $2.99 for the iPad version), then today is your lucky day.

Developer RedLynx, in conjunction with publisher Chillingo, has released DrawRace 2 Free Multiplayer, allowing all iOS users to get a flavour of what DrawRace 2 has to offer.

"The unique, touch-based controls in DrawRace 2 are something that needs to be experienced, and this release is a great way to let gamers try it for themselves,” Atte Ilvessuo, co-founder of RedLynx and executive producer of the DrawRace series, says.

A Pocket Gamer Gold Award winner, DrawRace 2 asks you to navigate your car around a racetrack by using the touchscreen to draw a line on the track itself. You then control your vehicle's boost level as it follows the path you've drawn out.

DrawRace 2 Free Multiplayer gives you access to three courses and three cars from the full game, as well as the chance to have a gander at the Stock Car, Rally, and V12 environments. Its multiplayer component, labelled 'hot seat', allows up to four players to complete locally on one device.
