Dot 2 out for free on Android
Made in 48 hours
Ustwo has launched the sequel to its iPhone and Android collect-‘em-up Dot.
Unsurprisingly entitled Dot 2, the game is a simple question of steering your white dot left and right (by tilting your device) to collect blue orbs and avoid red triangles.
Your score can then be uploaded to Twitter and Facebook.
It’s compatible with Android devices across three different screen resolutions – QVGA (SE X10 Mini, HTC Tattoo), HVGA (HTC Hero, Magic, T-Mobile G1) and WVGA (SE X10, Motorola Droid, HTC Desire, Nexus).
Cheap dotThe first notable thing about the sequel is that it’s free. The second is that, like the first game, it was made in just two days.
Dot 2 is the second in a planned series of six apps from Ustwo called 48hApps.
Each of these games will have been made in a 48 hour time period, making the focus “about simple, stunning design and simple, addictive gameplay.”
Developer Ustwo calls the series “cool’ectable”. I reiterate that the developer coined this phrase, not us.
