If you've got an iPhone, you've probably heard of Doodle Jump. Heck, it spends enough time hanging around the App Store's top sellers list with its "BE WARNED: Insanely Addictive" tagline.

Or maybe you've seen it bandied about the press, or seen the cute main character appear in another indie game, or even heard it referenced on sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

Wherever the millions of players heard about it, it's proved to be incredibly successful for hard-working indie developers Lima Sky who claim that the game has surpassed three million paid downloads.

So it's not surprising to see developers jump on the bandwagon and try and emulate Doodle Jump's success. But it's one thing to be inspired by Lima Sky's design and put it in a game like Bird Strike or Garfield Pooky Quest, and another to make a game like Doodle Jumper.

As the name suggests, Doodle Jumper is a shameless rip off of Doodle Jump that is presumably hoping to catch a few unexpected buyers who plug the wrong name into iTune's search bar.

Developer CoolGame Studios, who describes Doodle Jumper as "the best doodle game" and says it includes the features of "Doodle Jump, Glow Jump, Doodle Wars and Doodle Fight", could not be contacted for comment because the Studio website and Support links unhelpfully go straight to Facebook.com

What's more surprising is that Apple would approve such a blatant copy, especially when Doodle Jump is such a prolific and well known title.
