Whilst hardcore gaming fans might be disappointed at the absent of high-calibre weaponry, deathmatch play and general gibbage in JavArt's upcoming release, fans of Record Breakers or those who remember Domino Rally have a treat in store.

Promising a fresh twist on the platform and puzzle genres, Domino Quake splices the strategic challenge of domino toppling with frantic action, as your on-screen character, a dragon named Gus O'Line, leaps around the levels using springboards, guns and even dynamite to ensure the bricks keep falling.

There are 60 puzzles in all to explore in four different locations around the globe, and although the action is easy to start with, we're assured that each layout will be more fiendish than the last. It's entirely possible you'll need to make use of the in-game tips as well as your reactions and brain-power if you're going to knock them all down.

At present we can't confirm whether there's a sponsorship tie-in involved with a leading pizza chain, but doubtless that will be revealed when we get a review version in.
