Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock receives PS Vita release date

After quietly missing its release date earlier this summer, it seems the good doctor is finally ready grace the PS Vita with his presence.

A post on the PlayStation blog announced that Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is coming to the Vita on October 9th in North America and October 10th for Europe.

Regardless of which side of the Atlantic you're currently on, you'll be able to download Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock from the PlayStaiton Store.

A stitch in time

The Vita version of Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock comes with several new features not present in the critically derided PlayStation 3 version of the game which launched earlier this year.

One example of these new features takes advantage of the Vita's touchscreen, and allows players to alternate between controlling the action with the Vita's analog sticks or with simple taps and swipes on the screen.

The game's designers noted that all of the puzzles in the game have been reworked to allow for touchscreen inputs for those looking to give their thumbs a break.

Additionally, the Vita version will also introduce a cloud save feature that allows players to access 'Continuation Play'. This is essentially a form of cross-play, allowing players to save their game on either their PS3 or Vita and pick it up on the other console at will.
