Best known for its Championship Manager mobile games, Scottish developer Dynamo Games is now dipping its toes into the fast and frantic world of casual gaming.

Its new iPhone release is Dizzy Drops.

Simple to describe, you control four coloured buckets - red, blue, yellow and green - which you have to arrange to catch the falling drops of matching colours. You simply drag a bucket where you want it to be with your finger. Wherever you drop it, it will swap places with the bucket currently in that position.

Obviously, you have to catch the drops in the correctly coloured bucket to score points. Three mistakes and it's game over.

To keep your fingers really moving, there are also falling bonus items such as time slow downs and extra lives. You have to tap these to get them.

And as well as the standard Classic mode, there's a time-based Puzzle mode, in which the drops' colours are hidden and you're only told how many landed in the correct coloured buckets. Hence you have to move the buckets around, deducing what order they should be in.

Of course, your highscores can be compared with other players via the global leaderboard.

Dizzy Drops is available now, priced 99c, €0.79 or 59p. Hit the App Store button to catch some drops.
