Disney gets set for Critter Crunch

Colourful puzzler that's not afraid to slip you the tongue

Disney gets set for Critter Crunch

It's amazing the way a cute exterior can conceal something genuinely dark and twisted. If you've seen the infamous Teletubbies snuff movie, you'll know what we mean.

Disney Presents: Critter Crunch is another example. On the surface, it's a neat, colourful puzzler set in the jungle, with you playing a character called Biggs, who has to rearrange all manner of cute critters in order to win jewels.

But what's this? You get the jewels by grabbing critters with your long tongue and then feeding them to each other until they fill up and burst? Goodness. Must Disney peddle this cannibalistic filth to our kids, and so on and so forth?

Okay, we're not very good at the Daily Mail style rhetoric. In all seriousness, Critter Crunch sounds like an innovative spin on the traditional match-three puzzle genre, with bags of character.

As you'd expect, there's combos a-plenty, and some special critters that alter the gameplay in various ways, and are introduced as you progress through the game.

We're looking forward to seeing how the game plays out. Click 'Track It!' for an alert once we get our thumbs on it.
