Turn On, Tuck In, Drop Out
Live out your fast-food fantasies on your mobile
Surely waiting tables is only fit for teenagers and “resting” actors? Glu Mobile don’t think so, as they’re releasing a new mobile game called Diner Dash, which puts you in the shoes of a keen restaurant waitress called Flo.
You start in a roadside diner, with the aim of building it into a Ramsey-beating five-star eaterie. How? With the traditional skills of seating as many customers as possible, serving them nice food quickly, and dropping deep-fried mice into their ghoulash if they complain. Well, maybe not that last one.
There’s forty levels of gameplay set in four restaurant themes, with five different customer types to keep happy – including grumpy food critics. Sadly, we don’t think Michael Winner makes an appearance. Diner Dash started life as a popular web game on sites like Yahoo! Games, Shockwave.com and MSN Games – and was the No. 1 title on all of them. Millions of web gamers (probably) can’t be wrong, so we expect the game to be a feast when it comes out in March.
