Mobile community portal to deliver more free games

Didmo is a mobile gaming portal and community project that delivers full version, ad-encased mobile games to its members (we took a look at the UK system when it was announced back in March).

The games are more akin to free demos, as despite being full versions, players only have access for 24 hours before being required to purchase if they want to carry on playing. But as far as playable demos go, it's a pretty great way to test out the real thing.

The Swedish portal has been growing steadily this year, and its latest partnership adds agreements with developers 59 Pixels, Cotopia Wireless, Faces of Mars, Runestone Games, Trust Solutions, and United Fun Traders to the available catalogue of downloadable games.

It's a massively popular service in Scandinavia, and being rolled out to the UK, US and parts of Europe this year, the addition of these development powerhouses should help encourage pocket gamers to give the Didmo system a try.

Swing by the portal here, and let us know your thoughts on it in our comments section.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
