Gameloft must have kicked itself last year, releasing Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest months before the heiress went to jail, rather than just as she was banged up. It could've been the most genius promotional campaign ever.

Nevertheless, it hasn't put other publishers off diamond-based games, judging by RealArcade's latest, Diamond Detective. The plot sees a gang of criminals on the loose with some precious gems, which you need to recover.

How? The usual puzzle-matching method, of course. You have to create chains of diamonds, which in turn gathers clues to help you catch the thieves.

There are 60 levels to play in all, and a nifty sounding connected competition to win a real diamond worth EUR 1,500. More of this sort of thing, please!
