Destroy All Humans! PSP cancelled

PSP owners won't be getting to unleash Big Willy after all

Destroy All Humans! PSP cancelled

Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed for PSP has been canned, according to a report over at IGN.

The game was scheduled to come out on Wii and PSP later this year, but a THQ representative has told IGN it has been dropped because the control system simply wasn't working out on the handheld.

"Basically, the PSP version was cancelled because of control issues," the THQ representative has said. "Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed was designed by a Wii developer specifically for the Wii. When it was ported over to the PSP, the controls simply didn't translate well, and instead of pushing out the product with translated controls, it was cancelled."

Seeing as one console has controls that involve waving a stick around and the other uses a D-Pad and analogue buttons, we can see that they might have been a little tricky to convert. It's a shame to see a PSP release canned though, especially one that would have let you run around as a little alien anally probing humans. That's not something you get to see in a game every day.
