Deal or No Deal DS screenshots and video surface
Is this the gaming equivalent of daytime TV?
We heard about Deal or No Deal coming to the DS a while ago and were delighted at the prospect of enjoying the genius format of the popular game show without having to endure the tension of waiting for Noel Edmonds to say or do something outrageously inappropriate.
However, now that the screenshots and video have arrived, they've got us thinking that the bearded liability might do well to brighten this slightly drab looking affair. Check it out yourself (and forgive the squashed format due to forcing the DS's vertical perspective to fit horizontally):
Of course, there's still time to clean things up and it certainly doesn't help not to have sound along with the footage – it completely butchers the atmosphere.
Still, considering the strength of the concept, and the suitability of the DS's quick-fire touchscreen control scheme, there's hope for this yet. So we remain positive. It's what Noel would want us to do.
